Bhavesh Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel received his M.B.B.S. Degree at M.P. Shah Medical College in India and completed one year of multi-disciplinary internship in Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, General Surgery and Preventive Medicine at University affiliated hospitals in India. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at University of Tennessee; and also served as Chief resident in his final year at University of Tennessee. Dr. Patel is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and an active member of the American Psychiatric Association and Georgia Psychiatric Physician Association. Dr. Patel and his wife, Bina, have two daughters, Simran and Meghan. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies, and traveling. Dr. Patel joined Sough Georgia Psychiatric and Counseling Center in Valdosta.
Dr. Anil Gupta
Dr. Gupta received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, India. He completed his internship in medicine and surgery at King George’s Medical College and came to the United States in 1994. Dr. Gupta then went on to complete both his internship and residency in Psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA. “I chose the specialty of Psychiatry because I like understanding the complexities of the human mind,” said Dr. Gupta. He and his family came to Valdosta because it was a bigger town, and he has high hopes for more opportunities for social interaction and professional advancement. Dr. Gupta is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Gupta and his wife have two children — Shishir and Shadwal. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, listening to classical music, golfing, and traveling.
Livingstone Rasalam M.D.
Dr. Rasalam completed medical school and internship in 1974. He taught in medical school and worked with his dad who was a physician, until September 1975. Dr. Rasalam finished his residency in psychiatry and neurology at Chicago medical school in December 1978. He started a private practice from 1979 in Frankfort Il. and worked at local and state hospitals, mental health centers, and among those were St. Josephs, Silver Cross and Linden Oaks. Dr. Rasalam served as the Medical director of Adolescent chemical dependency program at silver cross hospital and Rasalam clinic in Orlando park, Il/ He is board certified in Psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Rasalam is currently working for Greenleaf-a division of South Georgia Medical Center since September 1991 where he has served as the chief of psychiatry. He operates a private practice in Valdosta known as Pathway Wellness Center and he is a consultant for the Assertive Community treatment program and the Methodist Children's home. Dr. Raslam is a member of the Southern Medical Association, GA Psychiatric Association, Christian Medical and Dental Society, American Academy of Pain Management, American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law. He is member of perimeter road Baptist church, he started "Hope for the Suffering" a charitable organization in 1982, author of 'Yes There is Hope for the Suffering". Dr. Rasalam is married with 2 children.
